Auditions for Fresh Vibes Streetdance Instructors

Thank you very much for expressing an interest in becoming a Fresh Vibes Streetdance Instructor. We are holding auditions and interviews in Coventry on Sunday 10th August 2008 and would like to invite you to attend.

Positions we are recruiting for:

Streetdance Instructors across the country:
- We are looking for excellent streetdancers and streetdance teachers to join our team. You must be friendly, approachable and have a genuine passion for dance! (We are not interested in attitude - it's not Fresh Vibes).
- Experience is not essential as we provide full training but you must be confident talking to groups and feel at ease with the idea of leading and teaching a class.
- You must be free to teach on evenings or weekends.
Please note: If you are successfully and padd the training then we will start courses where you are located. We only run courses with the best teachers, we will therefore start courses where the best teachers are based.
Workshop / Hen Party Specialist Streetdance teacher UK-Wide:
- We are also looking to recruit teachers who would enjoy running our workshops and hen parties on a regular basis. We are looking for excellent dancers that are fun, friendly and outgoing!
- Mainly weekend work.

The Interview

The interview will consist of several parts.

Part 1: For the first part of the audition process you will be taught some choreography and asked to dance it. We are looking for people who genuinely have a streetdance feel and who bring a real buzz and energy into the dance studio. Please wear clothes that you are happy to dance in to the interview. We are looking for fun and enthusiastic dancers or teachers who can share their passion of dance with others.

We will then ask candidates to stay on who we feel are right. We feel it is only fair not to waste your time and ours if we dont feel you are right.

Part 2: Those successful candidates from part 1 will then be asked to perform some of their own streetdance choreography in smaller groups. You will then be asked to teach, part, or all of, your choreography. You may also be taught some simple choreography, and then asked how you would teach it.

PLEASE NOTE: Please prepare choreography that you would teach to a beginner’s class. Most of our courses are for beginners; therefore we need instructors who are able to teach at a beginner level.

Part 3: The third part will be an informal interview. You will be given the opportunity to tell us why you are the right person to become a Fresh Vibes Instructor.

Please note: Any successful applicants will be given Fresh Vibes Teacher training. This will consist of 8 days of training*, which will take place in Bristol from Sunday 31st August to Sunday 7th September. We therefore are not looking for perfection when teaching, but a real energy, buzz and love for dance.

*For those that are invited to become Fresh Vibes Instructors, the week long training IS FREE OF CHARGE and is compulsory for anyone wanting to teach for Fresh Vibes. We are only interested in those that are prepared to commit to their development as teachers, and to grow and develop with Fresh Vibes.

Salary:

£20-£30 an hour / depending on class size
Hours per week: As many as the teacher can commit to.

Hours teaching for Fresh Vibes: 5 hours a week
Salary per week: £125
Salary per month: £500
